Performance Engineering
for Thermoelectric Consumer Products
Thermoelectric Refrigerator
Tellurex was selected to help design and develop the first mass-produced thermoelectric refrigerator manufactured in the United States. The selection came down to three factors: the performance output of the Z-Max module, Tellurex’s abilities to optimize the final engineering of the thermoelectric subassembly, and the capability to manufacture in the high volumes required for the consumer marketplace.
On the technical side, the ability to achieve a 40º F Delta T in a 2.2 cubic foot interior space was required in order to guarantee successful product performance. The customer’s own design could not reach the specified target requirements. With Tellurex’s redesign and re-engineering, and the power of a Z-Max cooling engine, the thermoelectric refrigerator easily exceeded the specified performance requirements. |
